\n
\nCreating a Pilot\n
\nFrom the Entrance screen, click on a blue "Create New" button in the
left column to begin the creation process. Enter a name for your pilot
when asked, then click the 'OK' button. Next, you will select a House
that you wish to join. There are four Houses to choose from (red,
yellow, green or violet). Click the '<' and '>' buttons to scroll
through the Houses. Once you have selected the House you want, click
'OK'. You will now be shown your new pilot's information. If, at any
time you wish to stop the pilot creation process simply click
'CANCEL'.\n
\nYou may have up to three (3) active pilots at any time.\n
\n
\nViewing Pilot Information\n
\nSelect the pilot to view from the roster in the left column and click
the 'PERSONA' button. You will now be shown information about that
pilot.\n
\n
\nDeleting a Pilot\n
\nChoose a pilot from the roster in the left column. You will be shown
the selected pilot's information. Click the 'DELETE' button in the
bottom left of the Persona window. You will be asked to confirm your
intention to delete the pilot.\n
\nPlease remember, a deleted pilot is gone FOREVER. There is no way to recover
a pilot once he has been deleted.\n
\n
\nChanging Keyboard Settings\n
\nClick the 'SETTINGS' button on the Entrance screen and you will enter the
keyboard settings dialog. From here, click on the function you want to change,
and then press the key you want mapped to that function. Press the Escape key
[Esc] to return to the Main Menu.\n
\n
\nEntering the Lobby Area\n
\nSelect the pilot you wish to engage, and click the 'LOBBY' tab at the top of
the screen. This will transfer you to the Lobby, where you can chat with other
players, enter missions, and customize your ship.\n
\n
\nBasic Chatting\n
\nSimply type the message you want to send, press [Enter] and Presto! Your message
has been sent.\n
\n
\nCustomizing Your Ship\n
\nEnter the Hanger by clicking the 'SHIP INFO' tab at the top of the lobby
screen. This will show you the hull type you have and the equipment attached.
You may buy new equipment by selecting the appropriate tab at the top of the
screen, and then scrolling through the equipment using the '<' and '>' buttons.
To buy the equipment, click the button above the image of the equipment. You
will not be able to purchase equipment if you do not have adequate funds, or if
the equipment will not fit on your hull.\n
\nYou may sell weapons to raise funds. To do this, simply click on the weapon you
wish to sell (they are listed to the right of the screen). You will be presented
with a dialog box asking you to confirm the transaction. Click 'YES' if you wish
to proceed, or 'CANCEL' if you have reconsidered. Engines, repair bots, shields
and hulls may not be sold. However, they will automatically be traded in when you
purchase another piece of equipment of that type, thus reducing the price of the
new equipment.\n
\n
\nEntering an Existing Mission\n
\nFirst, make sure you are in the Lobby area. If you are not, click the
'LOBBY' tab at the top of the screen. Now, select a Mission and click the
'MISSION INFO' button. You will be shown a description of the match and can
either enter the mission by clicking 'JOIN', or close the pop-up window
by clicking 'BACK'.\n
\n
\nCreating a New Mission\n
\nMake sure you are in the Lobby area. If you aren't, then click the
'LOBBY' tab at the top of the screen. Now, click the 'CREATE MISSION' button.
Next, select the mission type you wish to create and the parameters for that
mission. Finally click 'LAUNCH' to create the mission, or 'CANCEL' to close
the pop-up window and return to the Lobby Area.\n
\n
\nPlaying the Game\n
\nMovement is achieved by applying thrust is any given direction. Remember that
thrusting in a direction does not necessarily mean you will go in that direction.
You must overcome your momentum in whatever direction you are already travelling
in order to make a complete turn.\n
\nTo rain down fire upon the enemy simply point your green crosshair at your
nemesis and press fire. Some weapons may have travel time so you will need to
'lead' your target. That is, you should fire ahead of the target. If you can
time it right, your shot and your enemy will reach the same point in space at
the same time, resulting in your weapon hitting the enemy.\n
\nEach Mission type has a different set of goals that you must keep in mind.
Simply killing as many enemy pilots as possible may not help your House gain
victory.\n
\n House Kill\n
Whichever House reaches the number of \n
kills first gains victory in this kill-\n
      fest. \n
\n Platform Building\n
Each House is building a set number of \n
Platforms in a sector of space. Your \n
objective is to protect your construc- \n
tion vehicles and bases, while disrupt-\n
ing the base building efforts of the \n
other Houses. The first House with a \n
set number of bases wins. \n
\n Elimination\n
Each House has laid claim to the same \n
sector of space. Your objective is to \n
destroy all enemy bases while keeping \n
your own intact. The first House to \n
destroy all the enemy bases will gain \n
dominance in that sector of space, and \n
      victory for that mission. \n
\n Escort\n
Your objective in this mission is to \n
escort your mining vessel to and from \n
an asteroid containing valuable re- \n
sources. The other Houses will also \n
attempt to mine ore from this ASTEROID. \n
The first House to mine a certain \n
amount of ore and return it to their \n
      base will gain victory. \n
\nDuring the course of a match, if your ships becomes seriously damaged or if you
are in need of additional ammunition, you may return to your base (platform). If
you come to a full stop (press and hold the defined 'all stop' key) over the base,
the base will begin to repair and rearm your ship.\n
\n
\nGame HUD Visuals\n
\nIn the upper right of the screen there is a grid. This is the short range scanner
for the mission. On this, you are able to see the location of all the members of
your House, your House's bases, and any enemies that are within sensor range of
anything for your House.\n
\nMatch information is displayed in the window at the upper left of the screen.\n
\nInformation pertaining to your ship is displayed in the windows at the bottom
corners of the screen.\n
\nAny of the above windows may be minimized to the side of the screen by clicking
on the large tab on their inside edges. They can be restored by clicking on the tab
that sticks out of each corner of the screen.\n
\nThe player list is displayed between the two information windows on the left of the
screen. The chat window is in the middle of the bottom of the screen. There is a
white bar there. Below that is where the text you type is shown before being sent.
Messages that have been sent by you or by others are shown above the white bar.\n
\n
\nAdvanced Chatting\n
\nIn the lobby, to chat to a specific pilot, click on a pilot name to highlight it
and all the text you enter will only be sent to that pilot. To stop sending only to
that pilot, click on the pilot name again to un-highlight it.\n
\nIn a mission, chat is normally sent to everyone in the match. You can type /house
<chattext> to send a private message to your House. You can also type /playername
<chattext> to send a private message to a specific pilot. To set default chat to your
House, enter /house by itself. You can change the default back to everyone by entering
/all by itself.\n
\nYou may choose to temporarily filter the chat of an individual. To do this, type *mute
<playername>, where playername is the name of the pilot you wish to filter. You will no
longer see any messages from that pilot. To remove this filter, simply repeat the *mute
command for that pilot.\n
